This year marks 150 year birthday of the stunning Barmouth bridge that crosses the Mawddach Estuary carrying the Cambrian coast main line trains, you can also walk across this lovely bridge with amazing view of the coast, estuary mountains & sea.
A full day of events had been planned in Barmouth to celebrate the occasion, ending in a spectacular firework display & lazer show. This free event attracted thousand of people causing chaos on the roads in & around Barmouth, but that was to be expected with all the traffics bringing people to the huge event in such a small town.
Weather was very kind on the evening, a little cloudy / misty but warm, dry with very little wind
I opted to head to fairbourne point and look across the estuary i thought this would be the best view i could get to photograph the fireworks, it proved a great decision even though traffic was very heavy / gridlocked on the narrow road down to fairbourne point. Traffic soon eased off as i wasted 30 mins photographing the very pretty fairbourne railway steam engines
